Desk Clerk – Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

The Desk Clerk provides the first point of contact for guests, residents, and visitors at The Lyric Hotel. Working under the Property Manager, you will ensure smooth traffic flow, maintain a welcoming reception area, and handle administrative tasks with professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct telephone calls, take messages, and place emergency calls when needed.
• Assist with office duties such as completing work orders, comment cards, and visitor violation forms.
• Enforce visitor policies, verify IDs, and sign visitors in and out.
• Prepare incident reports documenting unusual building activity.
• Distribute resident mail on a daily basis.
• Provide coverage for other desk clerks as required.
• Participate in annual tuberculosis testing and follow exposure control protocols for blood‑borne pathogens.

Required profile

• Experience interacting with diverse cultural backgrounds, especially individuals with special needs (a plus).
• Knowledge of federal, state, local laws and Fair Housing guidelines.
• Fluent reading, understanding, and communication in English.
• Strong awareness, sense of urgency, and ability to follow procedures to resolve issues.
