Head of Operations

About the role

This senior leadership position will shape and scale the operational foundation of a global, fully remote financial services organization. Based in Chile, the Head of Operations will oversee critical functions such as payments, reconciliations, business operations, and digital asset settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an operations strategy aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Lead core operational areas including payments, treasury, reconciliations, card operations, back‑office and business processes.
• Own operational performance by establishing metrics, controls and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive process optimisation, automation and transformation using technology, data and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Create and implement standard operating procedures to improve consistency and visibility.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing operations team.
• Partner with compliance, risk and financial crime teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Establish operational risk management frameworks, monitoring, reporting and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with technology, data, people and client‑facing leaders for seamless alignment.
• Oversee end‑to‑end digital asset settlement, including reconciliation, wallet management, custody controls and crypto‑fiat processes.

Required profile

• 10+ years of progressive experience leading operations in banking, fintech, financial services or wealth management.
• Proven ability to scale complex operational functions in regulated environments.
• Strategic thinker with strong governance, risk management and people‑leadership capabilities.
