Hospitality Bookkeeper – Remote (US EST Hours)

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in the hospitality sector. You will manage daily financial operations for hotel clients, ensuring accurate transaction recording, reconciliations, and timely reporting while supporting senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily hotel transactions, including revenues, expenses, and cash handling.
• Perform bank, credit‑card, and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with month‑end close.
• Support leadership with financial analysis and operational insights.
• Maintain compliance with hotel accounting standards and internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in the hospitality industry.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and proactive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work 9 AM–5 PM EST.

Required skills

• SAGE accounting software.
• QuickBooks.
• Advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with Bill.com or Ramp (optional).
