Procurement Specialist

About the role

Huawei Technologies is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead and optimise sourcing activities in Santiago, Chile. The role focuses on managing end‑to‑end tender processes, supplier relationships and procurement strategies to support the company’s telecom operations.

Key responsibilities

• Organise bidding activities and drive RFx processes from draft to finalisation, including negotiations and contract formalisation.
• Maintain compliance, procurement planning and monitoring, ensuring all actions are recorded in relevant systems.
• Communicate regularly with existing suppliers and develop new supplier relationships.
• Prepare and manage procurement contracts, overseeing their lifecycle.
• Analyse market trends, identify potential suppliers and create competitive advantages.
• Identify procurement risks, implement prevention measures and ensure service stability.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of procurement experience, with project delivery and commercial negotiation exposure preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Chinese language skills are a plus.
• Strategic mindset, ability to influence cross‑department decisions and deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, business sensitivity and project‑management capabilities.
• Effective organisational and time‑management skills, capable of planning and executing major projects independently.
