Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join the Management Team of our Walk‑In (Urgent Care) service. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership, change management and service redesign to ensure safe, effective, person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up for paediatric and adult patients in the urgent‑care walk‑in service.
• Lead and support professional development of nursing staff, including teaching, clinical supervision and audit.
• Collaborate with health, social care and voluntary partners to co‑produce service improvements and meet strategic priorities.
• Develop, implement and evaluate evidence‑based policies, guidelines and quality standards for urgent care.
• Act as a specialist advisor to colleagues, external agencies and patients’ families.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with substantial post‑registration experience.
• Advanced practice qualification to MSc level or equivalent extensive experience.
• Independent non‑medical prescriber (V300) registration.
• Proven experience in leadership, change management and service redesign within urgent or primary care.
