Senior Mining Project Engineer (Los Andes)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Senior Mining Project Engineer based in Los Andes, Chile. The role supports the management and control of investment portfolios, programmes and mining and industrial projects, applying planning, scheduling and control methodologies, budget preparation and performance tracking. Daily travel is required, so living in Los Andes or nearby is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Support the management and control of investment portfolios, programmes and mining and industrial projects
• Apply planning, scheduling and control methodologies
• Prepare budgets and track project performance

Required profile

• Degree in Civil, Industrial or Execution engineering, any specialty
• 10 to 15 years of specific experience managing and/or controlling portfolios, programmes or investment projects in large-scale mining, and/or consulting or project management services for mining or industrial projects
• Knowledge of earned value management (EVM), capital investment systems, divisional project management systems, project planning, scheduling and control methods, procurement processes for projects, SAP PS-IM modules, budget preparation and MS Office Professional
• Desirable: PMP certification
• Rigor, quality assurance, ability to work under pressure, leadership and teamwork
